Why is Dan brooding? Becasue he was watching TV tonight and discovered that for the low, LOW price of $1.99 he could rent the movie "Hitch" (Kevin James/Wil Smith) on pay per view. And since he decided he was bored this sounded like a good idea. So he cozied up on the couch with the remote in his warm little hand. . .under the impression that with a few clicks of a button he could watch a mediocre film in the comfort of our home.
COX Communications had other ideas.
Apparently with COX you need a pin number to order pay per view movies. . .this eliminates "accidental" orders. Plus Noah uses the remote as a toy and by asking for a pin we eliminate the possibility that he could order "Swinger's Party: Couples Swap" at $15.00. Unfortunately, Dan did not know what our pin number was so he called COX. They put him on hold. And after being on hold for 10 minutes they disconnected the call.
I told him this was god's way of telling him that "Hitch" is not worth $1.99.
