Why Won't He Go To Bed?!

Noah had a big weekend. On New Year's Eve he went to the Fiesta Bowl Parade (with 200,000 other people), and that night we went to Zoo Lights followed by dinner at Uncle Sam's. The zoo was fun but the parade was a HUGE hit. It occupied Noah for and hour and 45 minutes. Who knew?! We also ran a bunch of errands on Sunday afternoon. As a result, Noah is OVER-tired. Or so we thought.

Noah was so incredibly fussy when we got home from work that Dan and I gave him a bath, dinner, and put him to bed at 6:23 P.M. He was so tired that he could hardly stand. He woke up around 8pm, we let him walk around the house a bit and he has more or less been awake since then. At 9:30 p.m. we gave him some tylenol (thinking it would make him drowsy) and let him play in our bedroom. During which he watched a rerun of the 1997 Spelling Bee on ESPN and "Dog, the Bounty Hunter" and he allowed himself to be repeatedly mounted from behind by the dog. Which he seemed to enjoy a bit too much if you ask me. Noah, not the dog. And we put him to bed. Again.

On the bright side, Noah is in his crib and quietly resting. The down side is that Noah is sleeping (re. resting) in his crib perpendicular to the wall with his feet propped up. This way he can use his feet to bang the crib against the wall. Which we can hear in our room. My mom suggested that we pull the crib out from the wall so we'll see what happens the rest of the night. Let's keep our fingers crossed that Noah goes to sleep. God knows that Dan and I are tired. Trying to outsmart a 15 month old is rough.
